UFC 332: 5 Fights That Should Happen Next After Silva vs Wang

UFC 332 is officially in the books, and the Salt Lake City event left the UFC with plenty of interesting matchmaking options. Natalia Silva captured the vacant women’s flyweight championship by defeating Wang Cong via unanimous decision, while Payton Talbott produced one of the night’s biggest statements by stopping former champion Deiveson Figueiredo in the first round.

With the results settled, the big question is simple: who should fight next?

Here are five UFC 332 fights that make the most sense.

1. Natalia Silva vs Alexa Grasso

Natalia Silva finally has UFC gold around her waist after a dominant performance against Wang Cong.

The new champion’s next challenge should be someone with championship experience, making Alexa Grasso an intriguing option. Grasso has already held the UFC women’s flyweight title and remains one of the biggest names available in the division.

A Silva vs Grasso matchup would test whether the new champion can establish herself against another proven elite fighter.

There is also the possibility of a future Valentina Shevchenko rematch, but Silva vs Grasso would be a fresh title matchup while Shevchenko remains sidelined.

2. Payton Talbott vs Sean O’Malley

This could be the biggest fight coming out of UFC 332.

Payton Talbott needed just 2:09 to stop Deiveson Figueiredo and immediately made his next target clear: Sean O’Malley. Talbott has now put together three straight victories and has rapidly moved into the bantamweight conversation.

O’Malley also remains one of the division’s biggest stars.

The matchup makes sense stylistically too. Both fighters are dangerous strikers with speed, confidence and finishing ability.

If the UFC wants to turn Talbott into a major pay-per-view name, Talbott vs O’Malley is hard to ignore.

3. Esteban Ribovics vs Jalin Turner

Esteban Ribovics continued his rise at lightweight by stopping King Green in the opening round.

The Argentine has now scored back-to-back knockout victories and is becoming increasingly difficult to overlook at 155 pounds.

A fight against Jalin Turner would give Ribovics another dangerous opponent while also creating a potentially explosive striking matchup.

Neither fighter needs five rounds to produce fireworks, making this one of the more exciting fights the UFC could book next.

4. Roberto Soldic vs Jeremiah Wells

Roberto Soldic finally made his long-awaited UFC debut at UFC 332.

The former KSW champion defeated Khaos Williams by unanimous decision and successfully opened his UFC account. Rather than immediately throwing him against a top-ranked contender, the UFC could give Soldic another experienced test.

Jeremiah Wells would be an interesting option.

It would allow Soldic to build momentum while giving fans another opportunity to see how his aggressive style translates against UFC-level competition.

5. Roman Kopylov vs Shara Magomedov

Roman Kopylov was another major winner from the event, stopping Ateba Gautier in the first round.

Now comes the fun part.

Put Kopylov against another dangerous striker such as Shara Magomedov, and the result could be an all-out middleweight war.

Both fighters have the ability to finish opponents, making this a matchup that could easily become a Fight of the Night candidate.

What Should Happen Next?

UFC 332 didn’t just crown a new champion. It also created several new storylines across the UFC roster.

Natalia Silva now has to defend her newly won belt. Payton Talbott is knocking on the door of the bantamweight elite. Ribovics is building serious momentum at lightweight, while Soldic and Kopylov continue to establish themselves.

But one matchup stands out above the rest:

Payton Talbott vs Sean O’Malley.

Talbott has already called for the fight, and O’Malley’s star power would make it one of the most interesting bantamweight matchups available.
